Visitors are welcome to watch what we are doing every month. If you would like to participate in a workshop, please contact the guild by email.
- February 22: Mini workshop Spinning Linen demo with Marni, Alison and Debbie
- March 22: Broom making with Marni.
- April 12: Mini workshop in Carding and Combing with Lydia, Gail, Ute, Debbie. If anyone wants help or to just card or comb together, please bring your washed fleece and tools.
- May 17: Bobbin Lace with Clare Settle – One space still available.
- June 21: Basket Weaving with Wendy Jensen. this workshop is full, but we will start a wait list. A reminder that this workshop will start at 10:00 am.
- July 19: Annual Spin In – We spin in public and invite everyone to learn how to spin fiber into yarn, tips and tricks from experienced spinners and a fun day for all!
- August 16: Advanced Inkle Loom Weaving with Hetty and Ute

- September 20: International Spin in Public Day
- October 11: Needle felting with Theresa
- November 22: Workshop TBD
- December 5: Guild Members only Holiday Party, snow date is December 12.

Our Guild volunteers to demonstrate the art of spinning fiber by hand at numerous events throughout the year.

Reminder – start your handmade items for entry to all of the upcoming fair and festival contests!
- March 29: Kingston Women’s History Textile Fleece to Shawl demonstration. Some Guild members are participating and seems like a very interesting event. The event opens at 11:00 am and is located at the Kingston City Hall.
- April 26: The Chancellor’s Sheep and Wool Showcase, Clermont
- July 29 – August 3: Ulster County Fair Fleece to Shawl competition in the Ulster County Fairgrounds Wool Room on August 3
- August 19 – 24: Dutchess County Fair – Fleece to Shawl competition in the Dutchess County Fairgrounds Wool Room on August 24
- August 29 – 30: Yarn Sale at Hammertown Barn
- October 16 – 19: New York Sheep and Wool Festival Fleece to Shawl competition on October 19th in Building D
